And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Wife and I were driving south on I-95 in Maine a few years back. Really nasty, messy and windy snow storm. I glanced over to the northbound lanes and there was an 18 wheeler - absolutely 90 degrees - sliding at speed - in traffic. Covered the lanes. Only saw it for a couple of seconds but I got light on the pedal damn quick. I hope no damage or injuries but..........
