And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I have to agree completely with you. That chair is seductively comfortable looking, it's got it's special place already built in, and resonates peace and tranquility. Peace and tranquility, so rare in todays world, is what a comfortable place is all about. Just my opinion as an old veteran who values being left alone and enjoys such places.
I think that this worn-out chair had appeared fairly recently.
