And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Not a skater but did once attempt a long hill. When I got the death wobble I was able to bail into a suburban lawn without lacerations. My form was atrocious.
Driving across FL one night, there was a big RED splotch in the middle of the road, which continued about 1/4 mile to the edge of the road. It looked like 1/2 that wild pig was ground off, marking the road in red.
A kid went under a pickup on a skateboard in Odessa. The guy driving was an absolute Jakkass I went to school with. I heard it absolutely wrecked him. If something like that is so destructive to someone who had no problem with being cruel and mean as a kid, I can't imagine what it would do to a normal, empathetic person. I'll bet the sphincter clench when the Wobble hit was World record level Squeezey
While obviously painful that did not appear severe enough for a Darwin Award...sadly. We truly need to thin the gene pool and these morons are where we should start.
The gene pool needs the daredevils, the rock climbers and those nuts who do those amazing things with bikes, skis & whatnot. That guy tried, with luck he'll try again when he heals up!
It is hard for me to find the words to describe how unhappy I would be, if that slipped up skater ended up messing up my car. I have spent many, many dollars, and many, many hours, making it the paragon of beauty and style that it is, a shining example of Italian design, coupled with the brilliance of engineering from some of the world's best ..... and BAM, some self absorbed twatwaffled dimwit antisocial retard ruins all my work, all the excellence of my Italian beauty, by bending parts of it and smearing his blood and organs in through all it's cavities and and pipework. When all I was doing was enjoying a weekend drive.
I'll bet at the bottom of the hill slowing down gracefully with a big smile cause it was an epic ride! It's the danger that makes a ride epic, crash & burn is always a possibility when you're trying things like this...
The Truck tension was set too loose. Going for any sort of speed you have to really crank on that bolt. Floppy is what you want when doing figure skating or indoor rink riding.
That had to hurt.
ReplyDeleteEven the healing hurt!

ReplyDeleteTo borrow a phrase from Dean Vernon Wormer in "Animal House," "face down into traffic on a two lane road is no way to go through life, son."
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteHe got off light. I'm more annoyed with the second video person encouraging such potentially disastrous behavior.
ReplyDeleteThe driver of the car that could have ended this jackassery would have to remember the accident for years afterwards.

I'll be that there was some major road rash.

Darn right. Life's pansies can sit in front of the TV but I admire these people who do dangerous stuff in a calculated way.

DeleteIf you're going to go that fast on a public road you should wear a small parachute - *seriously* !

Man, he ruined your weekend drive and you never even left home.
DeleteCool story, Bill!
DeleteI am guessing about 35 mph or so
ReplyDeleteMaybe someone here knows. I see how that often ends - wipeout.. How is it supposed to end?
