And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The top of a pyramid looks a lot less organized than expected
I'm guessing that after they took off the white limestone sheathing and the pyramidion, over the centuries people would climb to the top and trundle a block off, to have some fun watching it crash down one of the faces. The faces look a little concave, especially near the top, where the trundling block smashed into others and broke them.
Let’s see how you look after 4000 years, several major earthquakes, and having your capstone and sheathing removed.
