And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Seems like it would be easier to just hop rocks across
Read about these stream crossing wires on the Appalachian Trail. Back in the day I'd of said hell yeah let's go! Back in the day, that truly is a long time ago.
I used one of those when I was a kid. I was at full stretch grabbing the top cable. It wasn't rope. It was steel cable. Out in the middle it was shaky as heck.
