And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

My retirement job should be driving one of these for the local ski resort
Awesome machines. Drove a Rotax for a bit on hoot owl, mostly trail grooming, superb equipment, joyously comy warm inside, spectacular all around lighting.
Contact a local snowmobile club that runs groomers and ask for a ride-along. That would probably cure you. They run trails around Lassen and out of Butte Meadows, above Chico. Not sure about the Shasta area.
Retired in a place that gets snow like that? Not a chance.
