And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Quality Merino doesn’t itch either, nor does it stink even after long periods of wearing without washing. Amazing material. FirstLite is also a decent brand for merino.
My experience is that even Merino may, or may not itch, depending on who's wearing it. I like wool a lot, but not next to my skin. Silk is terrific for really cold weather.
Silk does not itch. I have a set of silk long underwear that works well when it is single digit temps. I hope to never need to wear them again.
