And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Maybe so. So close to the ocean, and in Iceland, I was wondering maybe if there's an ice defense aspect for the winter, as along the Great Lakes, where the wind whipping from the north drives the floe ice onshore, up and past the beach areas. The house is pretty close to the shoreline, and there's little elevational change.
I wonder what that berm is for. It's a little guesthouse, and the berm is on the south and east side.
