And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You implying AOC and Ilhan Omar would roll up their sleeves, Hakeem Jefferies doff his sombrero to pitch in? I can see Chuck Schumer grilling cheese burgers, paid for by Bernie Sanders of course, on the sidelines to feed the hungry workers as well.
Saw that about 10 years ago in Northern Indiana...was recruited to drive a grain truck for the effort. I made countless trips from field to grain elevator.
Dude had a massive heart attack and was looking at losing 400 acres of corn and about another 300 of soybeans. The community got together and we did it all in about 12 hours. Lots of volunteers. It takes more than just people driving the harvesters. Saved his farm, we did. Everyone dropped everything to help. Do it again in a heartbeat.
That's the thing about white farmers in the Midwest. The sense of community is huge and the willingness to help those having misfortune is incredible. You (generally) don't see that sort of commitment to goodness in cities or suburbia.
And that is why the rural world is so much nicer than the city world. There's nothing like big hearts and small towns where people know and respect each other.
Do you live in DC, NYC, San Francisco, Chicago or LA? If you don't then don't shit on other people's homes. It is common curtesy and respect. It says nothing about them that they live in any of those cities but it says a lot about you that you choose to refer to them that way.
Also it is interesting that you never see Angelinos, New Yorkers or Chicagoans saying anything negative about farmers or country folk in general.
Yes Sir, that is the real actual America, which "they" must keep hidden, the media/minions are bloodsuckers, ultimate betrayers , via lies of omission. By this they then create an alternate Amerika, thus subtle incarnate control.
As Ernie Ford would say "Bless their pea pickin' hearts". You can bet they're MAGA folks.
ReplyDeleteNah, they're Farmers, and that's something even MAGA can't top.

MAGA, or at least JD Vance, is ready to pickup their farms for cents on a dollar when they collapse due to the tariffs that are killing faming
DeleteIn a situation of need like this, every neighbor pitches in and politics matter way less.

"The quiet part, out loud".
DeleteHooray for all involved!
ReplyDeleteStandard practice in the family farming area I grew up in. Wonder how much of that you would see in commercial farming areas?
ReplyDelete"Bringing a combine" is no small matter, either.
ReplyDeleteNeither is the swather.
DeleteThey are still out there, but they were never in DC, NYC, Transfransico, Shitcongo, or LA.
