And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

From Redding this morning, Shasta was completely white with snow. I was telling people at work that we have exited the interglacial warm period, and are now plummeting into the next ice age.
In the 1970s we were told that our planet was approaching an ice age. That wasn't enough to scare people into compliance with the would-be world leaders. As any cooling period will follow a warming period they decided to change the narrative to warming. Now we could be tipping towards a cooling so it's called climate change. Whatever they call it you can be sure it's our damned fault!
