And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We live in an old town next to a cathedral started in the 13th century, like many other old buildings here still in daily use. History continues to be very much alive here.
I have to agree with the posters here. Thank you for the door photographs. In my travel photos I have at least one interesting door composition per trip. I don’t know why but some doors and settings just catch my eye. Thanks!
