And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Morning shot of the Catalina Mountains? Snow looks fresh and it doesn’t last long after sunlight hits it. We lived in Tucson for 17 years and saw snow maybe 3-4 times. It was definitely exciting for the kids.
Since '76 for me - quite a few more snowfalls, but yes somewhat rare - always pretty when it turns sunny and the snow starts retreating up the mountain.
Foreground looks suspicious - should be lots of city development visible. Or maybe I'm just not getting the right angle? Wondering if it is a composite or very old pic from far east side of town?

ReplyDeleteThose cactus are some real dandies.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing missing from such a wonderful scenery shot, is an elk a bobcat and a road runner. Plus an owls nest on a grandad cactus.
ReplyDeleteis Arizona really the only state these are in ?
ReplyDeleteThey only grow in the Sonoran desert. In the US, it’s mostly in Arizona, but some part of Southeastern California. Northern Mexico has the bulk of it.
