  1. Morning shot of the Catalina Mountains? Snow looks fresh and it doesn’t last long after sunlight hits it. We lived in Tucson for 17 years and saw snow maybe 3-4 times. It was definitely exciting for the kids.

  2. Since '76 for me - quite a few more snowfalls, but yes somewhat rare - always pretty when it turns sunny and the snow starts retreating up the mountain.

    Foreground looks suspicious - should be lots of city development visible. Or maybe I'm just not getting the right angle? Wondering if it is a composite or very old pic from far east side of town?

  5. Only thing missing from such a wonderful scenery shot, is an elk a bobcat and a road runner. Plus an owls nest on a grandad cactus.

    1. They only grow in the Sonoran desert. In the US, it’s mostly in Arizona, but some part of Southeastern California. Northern Mexico has the bulk of it.
