And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Too bad they stopped building the Scout. Was a great set of wheels. Had the Scout pick-up, cute, it just was a total rust bucket, weren't no body and repair sections back in the late 80's, still be driving it. Really loved that truck, it was the perfect snow plow truck for driveways. Put the 304 in it, DANA 40 front diff, beefed up tourqueflite, and True Track in the rear, Rancho 4 inch lift. Body had the worst cancer, even with anodes it still rotted. Did I say it was a good vehicle? Except the cancer rust.

ReplyDeleteScout II - a HS teacher bought one and raved about 4wd suspension as it started the transition toward non-solid front axles.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather have one than anything being built now.
