And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I stayed there with my wife a few years ago. I found it to be extremely depressing to me. What with looking at the old pictures and the hotel then looking at all the scum that was walking about in it. It was also horribly expensive to boot.
The triple vertical stabilizers were designed to fit into hangers - one large one with the same surface area would create a height that would not fit into almost all hangers. The Super Connie is beautiful

DeleteThe bar for the TWA Hotel at JFK is a Connie. The whole place is like stepping back into 1962.
