And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I used to see a colony of them living in a palm tree near the Yavapai Elementary School in Scottsdale. Haven't seen them for 3-4 years. They are very friendly birds.
It could be worse. You could be in SoCal and treated to the daily cacophonous shrieking of the thousands of offspring of feral parrots turned loose there by some jackass hereabouts in the 1970s.
There should be a bounty on them, but they've pretty much moved in for good.
Peach-faced Lovebirds. There's a feral population here in Arizona.
