  1. Peach-faced Lovebirds. There's a feral population here in Arizona.

  2. I used to see a colony of them living in a palm tree near the Yavapai Elementary School in Scottsdale. Haven't seen them for 3-4 years. They are very friendly birds.

  3. It could be worse. You could be in SoCal and treated to the daily cacophonous shrieking of the thousands of offspring of feral parrots turned loose there by some jackass hereabouts in the 1970s.

    There should be a bounty on them, but they've pretty much moved in for good.
