  4. That locomotive that Cash was leaning on was in Nashville’s Centennial Park, near the only full size replica of the Greek Parthenon. That locomotive was part of my childhood and I was there when a group was prepping to remove the locomotive for restoration in 2018. Article talks about Cash, the locomotive, and its history:

    Cash was an excellent musician!

    1. Very good information!
Cash seemed cut from the same soul, intuitive cloth artists of all walks are, a quality not obvious in most of the pop stew available lately. Live and local will gather it to a surprising degree.

  5. Pretty big drive wheels, must be a fast locomotive.

    1. 70 inch drivers, Al. Many 4-8-4 engines had 80 inch drivers.
I'm guessing the NC&STL had some heavy grades on its lines and opted for the smaller drivers.
