And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Apples and Bears. I like the one in the middle that's gone belly-down on the apple pile.
They will eat till they can hardly waddle away. After a few days they start getting drunk from the apples fermenting in their guts. Hopefully they have apples for a week or two, thats when you want some bear meat, gets pretty tasty from all the fruit suger.
If it was my apple orchard, throwing the bears culls and drops keeps them from climbing up and jumping on the branches to break them so they can reach the fruit.
It could be California, where bears are off limits for hunting so they don't have much fear of people. So giving them windfall fruit would be smart. An electric fence would also be a good investment.
Now THAT is a baiting station!
