    1. The instincts they are born with are amazing. A male I had literally knew what I wanted him to do as though he could read my mind. A female I had needed virtually no training when it came to moving cattle. She just knew.

One time when we were gathering she brought in 6 mother cows and their calves that we didn't even know we had missed. Not a word had been said to her. All we had to do was open the gate to the corral. That was just one of the times she blew my mind. There were many more.

  2. Is that an Australian Cattle Dog?

    1. That's probably a good guess, based on physical appearance alone.

So many great dogs, so little time. Sigh.

My two favorite (and best) dogs were a Border Collie/Tricolor Aussie cross (the male) and a Border Collie/Kelpie cross. She was wicked smart.
