  5. Would love to have one like it. Unfortunately the restomoded ones _start_ around a quarter mil these days.

    1. If you do a search you can find restored Power Wagons with the original running gear for the price of a new pickup, $75,000. Sometimes less.

      What makes them expensive is when they put in Cummins or high-zootie modern engines, automatic transmissions, disk brakes and stuff like that.
      But IMHO if one is in great original condition, they're still very comfortable to drive. So long as you're not in a hurry.

      But if you're driving something like that, why hurry?

  7. Last year, after dreaming of one for 50 years, I acquired a 1951 DPW; it doesn't get taken above 35mph, needs glass though. David
