And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? If you do a search you can find restored Power Wagons with the original running gear for the price of a new pickup, $75,000. Sometimes less.
What makes them expensive is when they put in Cummins or high-zootie modern engines, automatic transmissions, disk brakes and stuff like that. But IMHO if one is in great original condition, they're still very comfortable to drive. So long as you're not in a hurry.
But if you're driving something like that, why hurry?
Front and center…. Mud! I like it…

ReplyDeleteLast year, after dreaming of one for 50 years, I acquired a 1951 DPW; it doesn't get taken above 35mph, needs glass though. David
