  6. Couple of corrections please

    1. They didn’t and don’t smoke marijuana in their pipes…
    2. They are Ceremonial/Spiritual pipes used for daily prayer and for ceremonies.
    3. They are also used to acknowledge agreements and to swear paths to understandings under the pain of death if violated.
    4. White men labeled then “peace pipes” because they were used by the tribes to verify and swear holy oaths to peace agreements..
    5. Custer smoked a pipe of peace with the Sioux and then “crossed” it by leading a war party against them thereby sealing his fate by Wanka Taka..
