  1. Nice and shiny SG. I had one but couldn't get over the neck dive issue. I'm a Fender guy myself.

    1. Yeah, that neck dive is something to pay attention to.
I bought a new black one in 1992, still have it. Immediately swapped out the PU's for DiMarzio PAF profs. What do you suppose that big chrome plaque is for?

  2. That Wood... finish is beautiful. Almost a wall hanger.

  3. So what year had the tuners on the side of the neck? Or headless?

    1. All SG's have the tuners 3 to a side, never headless that I am aware of. Headless would mean the tuners must be at the opposite end of the strings.

    2. That big chrome thingy is similar in size to a vibrato unit on some models, or it's ballast to help with the neck dive.

  4. No pickguard, maestro vibrola wackiness, pickup select switch looks way off, seems AI image to me. The ‘tuners’ on the side of the neck are the knobs to the marshall amp. The body is on a vox amp. —Stiggs

  5. I’d love to hear Derek Trucks wail on it.
