Guy I worked with bought the #2 missing prototype at a yard salee for $500 bucks, found out is was worth near 30 grand, went back to the lady he got it from, gave her 10,000 bucks, still uses it, been oh bought since 1997. It ended up pictured in a history book some guy wrote. Imagine that upped its value.
Mark Knophler plays one in Dire Straits, then in his various solo acts, its such a great sound, nothing like it. Crowd always cheers when he riffs on it. Specially when he plays Romeo and Juliet, Telegraph Road too.
