  4. I did a year at Reykjavik International Airport, (Keflavik) Naval Air Station, '72-'73. Air Force had a little interceptor squadron there. It was a great duty station. Crazy North Atlantic weather!

  5. Iceland is in the North Atlantic. Its capital city is Reykjavik…


    I highly recommend a visit, even if you just stopping over on the way to Europe. The Iceland Airline offered a deal where if you stayed, there was no extra fee this past summer.

    There is an elevator, 10 Euro, and the view is fantastic. But beware, the bells chime when they chime. Saw a number of people jump / startled when that happened.
