  1. Out here in the plains of Colorado, if we get a wet spring, our fields look like this. Full of beautiful flowers.

  2. There's a little piece of "God's Country" all over America, but we've been blessed with more than we deserve here in Washington state. Back in the day every school-aged child knew the names of all the mountain wild flowers. I still remember them. When you can see Mt. Rainier from afar, not covered by clouds, we say, "The mountain is out."
