And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Philips TB 3/1000 Transmitting Triode in an Audiophile Power Amplifier. The warm glow is very pleasing as well.
So this tube is used as a bona fide 1000 watt audio amplifier. That’s pretty incredible. I saw one for sale online for over 600 Euros, so also not cheap.
Not to mention the cost to run it. But, hey, a triode final is a triode final whether it's a kilohertz or 20 Mz. Those of us who worked the world back in the day remember how hot the shack got when the big Collins 30S1 was cookin'. 2 kilowatt space heater....
