I'm most familiar with the Nevada desert, but this one will do nicely!
Remember going to Bullhead City with family to water ski on Lake Mojave as a kid in the 50's and 60's then with my own kids decades later seeing great patches of Saguaro.
Those look to be Arizona's Superstition Mountains.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I used to live just a few miles to the west in Mesa. Seen snow on the top while enjoying a cool morning. Only happened once in 4 years.
DeleteYep. About 35 miles from where I'm sittin' right now.
ReplyDeleteWeathers finally nice. Temps finally dropped below 100 yesterday.
You and I aren't far from each other. As I started out for my walk this morning, the temperature read 57°. I haven't seen that for quite some time.
DeleteSame temps happening here in Mesquite,NV...finally.
ReplyDeleteDisappointed to learn big cactus only in small part of Arizona. I always thought the whole southwest was covered in them
ReplyDeleteYou're talking Saguaro, right? Seems to me it's population has been growing.
ReplyDeleteIt is, as it's now illegal to harvest.
