  1. I wonder if that PTO port is the same one that they used to start the engine?

  2. Today's car makers would never think of making the car do more than one thing. That is a wasted energy source. A PTO on a truck today could run a big generator or a pump for irrigation, etc.

    1. And even if they would/could, it would come to an instant halt with the first Product Liability/Personal Injury lawsuit.

  3. In this vein the new 2025 Caterpillar PickUp Truck is supposed to have a multiple 120V outlets in the back to power all your power tools and supposedly a lot a wattage available. I'll believe such a thing exists when I see it.

    1. All the videos each show a differently styled truck, and they consistently misspell the company's name. Not real, unfortunately.

    2. That's one of the reasons I said I'll believe it when I see it. Can you imagine the shop rates to get a pickup fixed at a Cat dealership? The mind reels.

  5. Never knew that this was a thing. Pretty cool. I had an '88 model Ford F150. The 4 wheel drive model has a PTO power point on the transfer case. Most people don't know that

    1. Dandy for a rear mounted mini backhoe. I just couldn't afford it at the time
