And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Bogy and Bacall, starting with the infamous shimmy
He could really act and seemed like a genuine nice guy to know. Along with Casablanca as one of the best films of all time I must include The African Queen. Neither film would have been so great without him.
Always wondered why such a pretty gal would be attracted to a man with plain features. But the chemistry was apparent, even on their movies together.
