And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Blastoff! SpaceX Starship launches on 5th flight, nails 'chopsticks' booster catch. History made.
That's great that Elon's people share the video of this accomplishment. Hollywood's CGI people couldn't do it better than Elon's industrial grade GoPros do. Amazing.
It blew me away. We've known they were working toward this for years and seen computer simulations of what it should look like, but it still was mind-blowing to watch it unfold in front of our eyes.
Oh...and the 2nd Stage Ship made it to orbit, completed a full re-entry, and landed spot on at the ocean site where a pre-staged buoy was able to film the landing...So multiple firsts for this launch.
A lump in my throat, tears welling in my eyes, the skin on my skull felt as tight as a drum... for a moment I was a teenager watching the Eagle landing on the Moon again. Elon, if you need a kidney...
Prime example of what DEI hiring can deliver!
ReplyDeleteThe difference being that Elon doesn't fill quotas. He hires the best people for the job. Otherwise, SpaceX would be just another NASA.
DeleteI can't believe what I just watched!

ReplyDeleteI am sure you're joking but just in case you're not, here is a picture of the SpaceX team.

ReplyDeleteIt was like watching the old Men Into Space series, but FOR REAL!
ReplyDeleteNASA should slink out the door and lock it behind them and go get jobs at Burger King!

Few things bring tears to my eyes: dog rescue vids, good memories, dems hanging from trees by ropes and this vid.
ReplyDeleteAmazing
Glad to hear I'm not the only one to get a little choked up when seeing great things accomplished.
