And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Another no nonsense comment from someone with experience living in the Golden State. Oddly, I've lived here all my life and have felt maybe six earthquakes in 53 years. The most obvious was the Loma Prieta quake. If you aren't on the coast, they are a negligible factor.
LOL, No nonsense... better known as Dammit Brighid, has lived in N Cali (not on the coast) since the time of the dinosaurs. I have had more than a few occasions to clean up after quakes. Friends with cabins at Lake Almanor have had the same experience within the last year. That is the premiss for my statement, and I'm stick'n to it. Bless your Heart, but you mess with ol ladies at your own risk... :^)
