Quake

The other day Brighid and I were commenting on earthquakes and their propensity to knock stuff off walls, and lo and behold, a 6.9 off the coast near Eureka smacked the north over night.

That would in fact knock everything off the wall, if you happened to be nearby.

It's also funny to see Drudge make the common mistake of labeling the quake a "tremblor," when the correct term is, annoyingly, "temblor."  They're earthquake newbies!

  1. The uninitiated don't get that earthquakes go on in California, Alaska and throughout the "ring of fire" almost continually - and that it's a good thing because it relieves pressure so that the really big, nasty ones don't come along all that often.
