And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That is Nuuk! I've lived there. In summer, you can watch whales play in the fiord just west of town. You can hear them "blow" from land. The mountain in the background has a tiny glacier on the other side. Nuuk is a cesspit of crime and misery, though. It is the largest town in Greenland with a population of about 16.000. I feel sad that most people who come to Greenland only come to Nuuk without seeing the rest of the country. The REAL Greenland of the far north, for instance. (Nuuk is not a particularly cold place. It is quite far south, and the sea has a warming effect on the climate. I'm not sure if anything can have a warming effect on a politicians heart...)
Cold. Cold as a witch's tit. Not quite as cold as Nancy Pelosi's heart.
