And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

The New York Times finally comes around to the same position the Daily Timewaster has held for years.
Ah but did the nyt actually come to the correct conclusion (not opinion) - I understand that they have since amended their comment to read "lost all credibility on this issue." Not nearly the same thing..........
They had it closer to correct the first time, but the administration, as we are seeing in the news today, has indeed lost credibility, even among their natural supporters. It is the wider loss of credibility among all Americans, and of big government in general, that is the most interesting. We will see if this trend continues, and whether it is a disaster or an opportunity ( I certainly hope it is the latter).
Not that it's going to stop them from instinctively going into defensive mode whenever their Chicago Jeezus is threatened by a conservative.
