1)  Michelle Obama snubs China's first lady, who is in California for a meeting between her husband and Barry O'Slime.  Apparently the FLOTUS can't be bothered with such trivial items.

2)  The MSM, with their kissers planted firmly to O'Slime's arse, fail to break even one of the four major scandals.

"Verizon? Nope, not our guys. That was the Brits over at The Guardian.
IRS? Nope, not our guys. The IRS broke their own scandal with a planted question.
The Justice Department's seizure of Associated Press phone records? Nope, not our guys. Believe it or not, the Associated Press didn’t even break that story. Like the IRS, we only found out because the Justice Department outted itself in a letter notifying the AP of what it had done.
Benghazi? Are you kidding. With a couple of rare exceptions (Jake Tapper, Sharyl Attkisson) the media has spent the last 8 months attacking those seeking the truth (Congress, Fox News) not seeking the truth. It was the GOP congress that demanded the email exchanges around the shaping of the talking points, not the media."

3)  Student loan debt is crushing the future of our college kids.

"Student loan debt is just flatly out of control. I understand why this has happened, and I understand why it's hard to get a handle on, but we're going to regret it if we don't do something about this. We're training a whole generation to be wary of going to college, and for those who do, we're forcing them to start out their lives living under a mountain of debt. This is a recipe for disaster."

My own story on this: My oldest has just finished her first year of college here in California. Where she goes, the second you mention any problem paying the school's outrageous tuition, they offer to march you straight down to the financial aid office, where they will happily load you down with debt.  That debt only helps the school, and leaves the student buried under a mountain of liability that will take years to pay off.  It wasn't even close to being like this when I went to college, decades ago.  It makes one seriously wonder about the true value of a college education under these conditions.  The good news: after the whole family cut out pretty much every possible expense, and working as hard as possible, she finished that first year without any debt.  No guarantees on the future, however.

4)  With this incredible revelation, it looks as if we serfs won't be able to use any form of electronic communication unless we want what we say to be listened to and analyzed by O'Slime's security Gestapo.

The Obama administration on Thursday acknowledged that it is collecting a massive amount of telephone records from at least one carrier, reopening the debate over privacy even as it defended the practice as necessary to protect Americans against attack.
The admission comes after the Guardian newspaper published a secret court order related to the records of millions of Verizon Communications customers on its website on Wednesday

It's back to the pen and paper, if we want our conversations to be private.

  1. Old school works - from your mouth to God's ear. But the point is that we shouldn't have to.

I'm with you on the student loan epidemic. Particularly where "garbage majors" are involved. You major in liberal arts, and your graduation salary is minimum wage -- forever. How will you ever pay them back.?
