Something to keep in mind about the deficit.

If the government were to cut all spending except Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and interest payments, they would still be spending more money than they are bringing in.

That's why, without a complete redesign of the way our government spends money, there is no way that a balanced budget is possible.

Could a Democrat ever do such a radical thing to their precioud government?  Could an establishment Republican?
