Blogging today from South Lake Tahoe with a really bad internet connection that I'm stealing from somewhere.
Below is the descent down Kingbury Grade into Washoe Valley in Nevada. There is a dusting of snow on the highest peaks you can see, the first of the year.
Here we are at our shooting spot above 395, which runs north/south between the two meadows that can be seen far below us. We shot ourselves silly with shotguns.
Here we penetrate deeper into the midst of the Pine Nut Mountains east of Gardnerville. Just a few minutes after this was taken we saw a beautiful black bear coming down the side of the canyon.
Aspen at South Lake Tahoe are in full glory. An excellent time to be in the mountains is right now.
That sure was a pretty day.
