8. Despite congressional subpoenas, Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder has refused to turn over more than 90 percent of the vital documents that pertain to this scandal.

9. Obama invoked “executive privilege” to help Eric Holder conceal Fast and Furious documents from congressional investigators and the American public.

10.  On June 28, 2012, a bipartisan majority in the U.S. House voted to hold Eric Holder in criminal and civil contempt of Congress. Eric Holder is the first U.S. Attorney General ever to be held in contempt of Congress.

It's time to sweep these criminals from office in November.  If we don't, the nation we knew for over 200 years will be lost to these degenerates.

I have always said that one of Romney's planks should be that he would strive as president to make energy as cheap as possible.

Looks like he is doing exactly that.

Just look at the booming economy of North Dakota to see what could be in store for the entire country. This can only gain him a multitude of votes from anyone who works in the energy industry, or heck, even anyone who drives a car.

 

 

Out in West Texas, this kind of commentary is apparently becoming common. 

 

Let's hope it spreads all over the rest of the country.

Following up on an earlier post, Zero Hedge reports that the Chinese economy has goosed it's reported productivity by channel stuffing, or the production of goods that are unwanted and unsold.

The glut of everything from steel and household appliances to cars and apartments is hampering China’s efforts to emerge from a sharp economic slowdown. It has also produced a series of price wars and has led manufacturers to redouble efforts to export what they cannot sell at home.

Just like in the US, and Europe, the Chinese government is, gasp, lying about everything:

The severity of China’s inventory overhang has been carefully masked by the blocking or adjusting of economic data by the Chinese government — all part of an effort to prop up confidence in the economy among business managers and investors.

Naturally the Politburo, which measures GDP once a product or service is created, is delighted to produce more, more, more of everything. The demand aspect of the core economy equation does not matter. The problem is that even the Chinese central planners have now run out of space under the rug.

But the main nongovernment survey of manufacturers in China showed on Thursday that inventories of finished goods rose much faster in August than in any month since the survey began in April 2004. The previous record for rising inventories, according to the HSBC/Markit survey, had been set in June. May and July also showed increases.

And now that China too has run out of collateral with which to fund endless supply, which in turn requires legitimate demand, it has big, big problems."

The price of steel in China has plummeted 19% since April.

This is hard evidence that their ecomomy is not doing all that well, which with their brittle political system, is not a harbinger of stability.

Just from an economic perspective, it also is evidence of a worldwide problem of significant dimensions. Something serious is going to break one of these days, and when that happens, we had better be ready.

Cool cabin on stilts

There was a reason the Romans built a huge empire and kept it for centuries. 

They were ruthless, iron men, and that fact can be seen in the sculpture of their leaders.

Below is Julius Caesar, looking every bit the emperor that he was.  

Below is Emperor Caracalla, one of the empire's toughest and most bloodthirsty rulers.  It was literal death to fall on his bad side, and you can believe it looking at his likeness.

General Sulla, a tough guy if there ever was one.  Married five times, he marched his armies on Rome twice, and provided Caesar with the bad example of overthrowing the republic and declaring himself dictator.

What a collection of hard men those Romans were.

High on a remote plateau in the Altai Mountains in Siberia, three remarkably well preserved mummies were discovered, with the most notable observation being their well preserved tatoos. Believed to be members of the Pazyryk nomads mentioned as early as the 5th century BC by Herodotus, they are estimated to have died at about age 25. Note scary mummy picture at the link.

The inking was masterfully done, and it is incredible that it has been preserved so well over so many years.
