And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I totally agree with this
Years ago I got a cat at the pound. Paid the money there for it, took it home. A couple weeks later, I get a letter from the local government, demanding that I pay them 15 dollars for a license - for their permission. I told them the cat was dead, and kept my money. I was hugely offended that they government boys thought they could demand that bit of gold and tug from my forelock for the right to keep a single little cat, that I had taken off their hands at the pound. I figured I was doing them a favor!
And do you think you own you home because you've paid off the mortgage? Nope, just stop paying your property taxes, and see how quickly you find out who really owns it, superior to all your rights. The "King" will be sending his sheriffs around to take it away from you just like in medieval days.
Don't get me started, don't get me started!!

Norwegian surfers build their own cabin porn
Inge Wegge and Jørn Ranum built their own cabin out of scavenged beach debris, and then spent a winter living in this remote cabin, surfing frigid Norwegian waves at a secluded beach miles away from civilization. During that winter they cleared up more than three tonnes of marine litter from that beach, and what they couldn't use, they stored away – in case they needed to repurpose it later on down the line.

New British research vessel will not be named "Boaty McBoatface," say grumpy old killjoys.
But the attached submarine will get that name.
If the people’s will was ignored, their voice was heard: The name Boaty McBoatface will live on as a high-tech remotely operated submarine that will collect data and samples.
“We’re ensuring that the Boaty name lives on through the sub-sea vehicle that will support the research crew,” Mr. Johnson said.
Still, that failed to satisfy supporters of the Boaty McBoatface handle, who made clear that this was not what they had voted for.
Shouldn't the sub be named "Subby McSubface?"
GoPro on a suborbital rocket launch. Incredibly cool video.
The launch in the video took place from Spaceport America in New Mexico on November 6, 2015, with a 20-foot tall SpaceLoft-10 sounding rocket from Colorado-based launch provider UP Aerospace.
It was the company’s fourth mission for NASA’s Flight Opportunities Program, which selects “promising new space technologies from industry, academia and government, and provides them access to relevant environments for flight testing.”
As the launch begins, the rocket immediately starts spinning rapidly. This is known as spin-stabilization, a common strategy used for some satellites or rocket launches to control altitude. Like a spinning top, motion about one axis on a rocket can be controlled if it’s spinning fast enough.
At 60 seconds into the flight (1:17 in the video), the mission successfully releases the nose fairing and ejects the 11 pound re-entry capsule known as Maraia.
