                                                                        This again?

Can you imagine rolling into work behind the wheel of this crazy relic from the fifties?  Unfortunately, I can, and probably would if I had one. My wife would hate me if I decided I was going to drive one of these, but fortunately, I think I have seen maybe two of these my entire life, and both were worse than junkers.
Friday freckles

Even eggs can have cute freckles

One very unusual American machine.

Which means I'd buy one.

I guess congressman Paul Ryan has somehow found a female following in Washington, and one of them has started this rather hilarious tumblr, Heygirlitspaulryan.    I guess even geeks can get the girl, although any guy who is into bow hunting can't really be a geek in my book.

Robert Herjavec, one of the big money investors in the show Shark Tank, was racing his 350k Ferrari 458 this weekend at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California, when he lost control at 130 mph and hit the wall.  Dash cam video below.

After the crash, he borrowed a friend's Ferrari and continued the race, ultimately finishing 3rd.

In Dreams From My Father, Obama's autobiography, he described in detail his girlfriend.  Now it turns out that this girlfriend actually didn't exist, but was rather an amalgamation of multiple girlfriends, kind of like a girlfriend casserole.

Another bit of dishonesty revealed in our leader.

Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin, in Suzdal, Holy Russia.

I'm going to a depo in Fresno later today, and here I run across this on the internets.  There must not have been any air conditioning on a hot Texas day in that depo, cause these people have all lost control of themselves.  The answer is to go off the record, and everybody take ten minutes to cool off their tempers.

Worst I ever heard of was one lawyer down in Stockton leaping across the table after a personal insult from the other attorney, and engaging in a rolling wrestling match on the floor, scattering chairs, while the court reporter continued recording the grunts and bad words.

Lawyers can be entertaining.

More evidence of the illogical, mixed up thinking on the left.  Why we even consider electing these fuzzy headed idiots to positions of authority escapes me.

And this little brouhaha over Elizabeth Warren's attempts to claim the benefits of minority status inappropriately is the beginning of the end of her political career.
With their new slogan "Forward" the Democratic party of America has joined themselves with some illustrious company from both the past and present.  Take a gander...

And always my favorite, a bit of social realism from the old USSR.  It says at the bottom, "Young builders of Communism! Forward, to the new success in work and study."  The words on the blue book are "Lenin Stalin," certainly two fellows who had only the best in mind for everyone ;-).

The new Obama campaign slogan, "Forward," is quite frankly a poke in the eye to Americans by these new Socialists.  From Mao Tse Tung's "Great Leap Forward" to the Fascist song "Vorwärts," this has been a battle call in the totalitarian world for a hundred years.  Check out this excellent collection of current Communist publications named "Forward" here!

After Mao's Great Leap Forward program was finished, 40 million people were dead and China's economy was ruined.

Do you think all this totalitarian sloganeering might have some relation to this?

Or this?

Or this?

If you don't think Obama and David Axelrod aren't well aware of this Communist and Fascist history, you are mistaken.  They are getting bolder in showing how they really feel and where they really want to take us as a country every day.

The old Democratic Party is largely gone, a figment of the past.  The new Democratic Party is nothing more than a brand of Socialism, or worse, which has no business governing in this country.

Veterans for a Strong America released this video the other day, which puts into perfect perspective our President's recent "football spiking" on the Bin Laden killing.  Watch and enjoy.

Another Tuesday successfully completed, but it's too bad I didn't complete it here.

The area where I live is dotted with little pioneer cemeteries, which often sit inconspicuously on back roads or at remote intersections.  Part of the fun of living out where I do is to drive around and find them.

There is actually a member of the Louis and Clark expedition interred not far away, a fellow by the name of Alexander Hamilton Willard.  I find it amazing that someone who saw so much of the beginning of America found his rest so nearby, in what must have been still a frontier area at the time.

Anyway, here is a picture one of the kids took at one of our tiny local cemeteries, which after a bit of cropping and work on Lightroom, turned out pretty good.  I think it captures very well the sight and feeling of these overlooked spaces.
