In India, a top Muslim scholar has issued a fatwa to the effect that using and enjoying fireworks are not acceptable under sharia law, and that men who spend money on them are "brothers of the devil."

And everyone knows what Muslims do to "brothers of the devil."  From the article, it turns out that many muslim men are employed manufacturing firecrackers, which means the scholar's fatwa might not be the smartest move ever made.

While stumping through Ohio, at carefully chosen venues in deeply Democratic regions, something unexpected happened to the new U. S. Dictator.  

Obama said, “You inspire me.”

And you know how the members of that crowd in the most Democratic district of Ohio responded to that campaigning Democratic president’s professed sincerity this time?

They laughed at him.

“Okay,” Obama insisted, “you do.”

And the president, like a pro pol, continued with his speech, as if nothing had happened.

It's been a long day.  Six and a half hours behind the wheel, two or three in the office, and a couple in San Jose at a deposition.  I feel like this, but I'm still too wound up to sleep.

Something pleasant

Regulation after Regulation being overseen by Czars...
And Congress did nothing...
Then Obama toppled a UN Member State Government... and Congress sat quiet...

How long before Eric Holder sues to stop this?

Interestingly, here in California, affirmative action and it's associated programs have had a tendency to make it most difficult to get into college for .... Asian females!  How's that for fairness, progressives!

McCain to endorse Romney.

Is this not the kiss of political death?  Would not any self respecting Tea Partier shun any candidate who was endorsed by the hyper RINO McCain?  Is this not the same as Bob Dole endorsing, I dunno, some hoary old boar of the Republican establishment like Orin Hatch?

We shall soon see if the Republican establishment is more important to success, or the grass roots tea party movement.

In California, the idiotic legislature continues to fiddle while the state's economy burns.  Rope, anyone?

Meanwhile, in the Rust Belt, states like Indiana continue the difficult road to economic recovery.
