And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It appears the floor jack had already rolled against the curb. That is what is called a clue. The sloped drive didn't appear overnight. They knew of the probability of wheeled vehicles rolling out the garage. Complacency wins the day. I think this isn't the first time.
Can you imagine trying to explain to the police or insurance agent (not to mention, your wife!) how this happened before the advent of home security cameras?
Kids, if you're jacking up your car--a box on wheels weighing thousands of pounds--on anything other than a level hard surface, you're just asking for something like this.
