  2. Lots of cattle means lots of cow dogs. Notice they have radio trackers on them so they can find the ones that get lost.

    1. That’s my guess as well. We see a few lion hunters near here outside Snowflake, AZ. A neighbor used to have her grandson and family living on their ranch. They bred hunting dogs for lions. Their place is on the other side of the mesa about a mile and a half away. We could still hear them on otherwise quiet nights.

  4. Don't look like cattle dogs, looks like hunting dogs. Maybe for coyotes?

  7. Look like mostly scent hounds, but.... not seeing any guns. Joy ride, maybe.

  8. Are dogs immune to giardia and other common water borne afflictions that would kick a human's butt? These cattle watering holes are nasty.

  9. Hunting with hounds and the taking of mountain lions have been banned in California for several years now. That's why they're on The Streets of San Francisco these days.

The people of the state and the 'experts' at Fish and Wildlife just can't grasp the concept of 'carrying capacity'.

I had around 25 Hounds form 1970 to 2010 not counting puppies and young dogs I didn't keep until adulthood.. 2 that were priceless and four more that were exceptional. I only used 2 to four at time. trapping, depredation and hunting guide, part of culture passed on to me by my grandfather.
