And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That’s my guess as well. We see a few lion hunters near here outside Snowflake, AZ. A neighbor used to have her grandson and family living on their ranch. They bred hunting dogs for lions. Their place is on the other side of the mesa about a mile and a half away. We could still hear them on otherwise quiet nights.
Hunting with hounds and the taking of mountain lions have been banned in California for several years now. That's why they're on The Streets of San Francisco these days.
The people of the state and the 'experts' at Fish and Wildlife just can't grasp the concept of 'carrying capacity'.
