Getting Ready

  1. At first that necked down, blunt nosed cartridge looked like it might be a .348 like my Winchester model 71 uses, but then I saw the straight stock and figured it's a model 94 in 30/30.

  2. That rear peep makes it that much more effective. The 30-30 is a good 200 yard gun, good to 300 yards if you have the rainbow trajectory doped in.
    I prefer the Marlin levers, but the M94 is the slickest, sleekest of the medium powered lever guns out there.
    In 22 levers, the Browning gets the nod, but I wouldn't trade my Marlin 39, Mounty for one.
