And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Don't be in there when they turn the water back on
Looks like one of the Hetch Hetchy penstocks for moving water from the Hetch Hetchy reservoir in the Sierra to San Francisco. Lock out tag out, gentlemen....
My son is a mechanical engineer and designs / builds / repairs hydro schemes among other generating things. He says you do not want to be anywhere near those tubes when they fill. They are dangerous at all times and violent in the extreme if things go wrong. That said, I have a standing booking to go inside one with him one day.
Looks more like a future road tunnel with the central drain visible. My guess is Swiss?
