And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I can still hear the 'click-click-click' noise when dial was released. I miss that sometimes. Gave you time to review what information was going to be stated.
Honor Blackman, Diana Rigg, Linda Thorson, and finally Joanna Lumley. In the New Avengers (1976) Steed thought someone was commenting on the pictures of his horses, but they were looking at the pictures of his female partners; when they got to Linda Thorson (Tara King) his comment was... pity, she broke her leg and I had to shoot her.
Reminds me of my wife, hair, eyes, lips - but mine has a very sweet & moral temperament - and she's not acting nor pretending.
