And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
brought a red-eared slider about that size home w/ me from a fishing trip. my youngest daughter sat down on the floor to play w/ it. that little basturd jumped 6" and latched onto her thigh. unbelievable ! dropped it back off on the same log i got it from a week later. lesson learned.
I've got a bunch of those, well North Americans box turtles anyway. Raising a batch from last October & getting ready for eggs this October.
