And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Bodie
Below is my photo from Bodie, with the aspen on the hillside all in fall colors.
It’s in California north of Mono lake near the Nevada border, Now a state park and once a gold mining boom town. I’ve traveled US 395 a lot back in the day but never visited Bodie. What know of it is from Huel Hauser.

Bodie is awesome. Love the place. The whole area is incredible for scenery and history.
