And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Should you ever have the opportunity I recommend going to the Museum of Speed in Lincoln Nebraska. They have a wall 8' high X 100' long with nothing but intake manifolds for old Flatties and no two the same. From land speed record cars to circle trackers to road course to dragsters, motors of all types, incredible displays, pedal cars, toys, and much more. Amazing place. Three stories about a block square just across from Speedway Motors on the west side of Lincoln.
Dual carbs, no air filters, spinning tires, sandy beach. And I still can't figure out why the flathead enthusiasts never did something about that middle pipe, which is collecting from 2 cylinders, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll add that to the bucket list.
DeleteJust looked em up. They have lots of cool stuff, even have the full size version of the "Red Baron" model car I built as a kid.
